We are a Foursquare church that believes in the power of prayer today to heal and to restore. We believe that miracles, signs, and wonders did not end with the disciples, but are still available today for anyone who believes.
The word “pulse” in the KJV Bible is defined as “seed grown for food.” The original Hebrew word for pulse is zeroa, which has been said to mean something sown. The word for pulse in Hebrew is דֹּפֶק (DOH-fek) and has a quasi literal meaning to לִדְפוֹק – to knock – (leed-FOHK) - or "to beat." He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness (2 Cor 9:10).
In Acts 2:42–47 the original “Christian community” was known for its devotion to the apostles’ teachings, to fellowship, to prayer, and to loving one another. In Luke 10:19b & 20b, Jesus said, "I have given you authority to overcome all the power of the enemy and nothing will harm you." Rejoice that your names are written in heaven (Luke 10:20b). "For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline" (2 Tim 1:7). "Fan into flame the gift of God" (1 Tim 1:6a). "God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth" (John 4:24, NKJV).

Iris, and her husband, Mike Dutton, have been active in the Foursquare Church while stationed at Grand Forks, ND, and in Santa Maria, CA, where they were trained in the prophetic by Bishop Bill Hamon as they hosted the West Coast Conferences for him. They loved their experiences in Foursquare. Mike and Iris led Care Groups and other small groups for almost 40 years. They have our own 501c3 ministry called JOY MINISTRIES, focusing on small group/home church relationships. Mike has taught Prophetic classes and other Biblical classes for years. They are currently expanding their ministry to provide a place of refuge and small event center near Ponca, NE.
A graduate of Biola University, she founded the Center for Prophetic Listening™ in 2019 and now certifies Christian coaches and spiritual directors in the Prophetic Listening Method™. When she isn’t certifying students, she’s teaching workshops at churches, ministries and universities.
Her work as a speaker, author, instructor and spiritual direction coach centers around creating a safe place for people to connect to God's voice. The daughter of Nigerian immigrants, she currently lives in Sioux Falls, SD (that is a God story in and of itself).
What would it look like if, as leaders, we focused less on the things that make our churches entertaining and more on making disciples?

What is the story of The Foursquare Church? It's really part of the story that God's been telling since the beginning of time.
