Welcome to Pulse of Life Church in Vermillion, where seeds of faith take root in God's Word, nurtured by the Holy Spirit, and grow into a harvest of transformed lives.
The word "pulse" comes from Daniel 1:12, where "pulse" translates the Hebrew zera -seed. A single seed carries the power of an entire harvest within it, hidden until planted and that's who we are: a church where the smallest seed of faith, rooted in God's Word, grows into a harvest of transformed lives. Like the seeds Daniel chose over the king's rich food, it represents faithfulness, purity, and God's Word taking root and producing life.
Our Statement of Beliefs reflects the historic Foursquare Gospel—Jesus Christ as Savior, Baptizer with the Holy Spirit, Healer, and Soon-Coming King—rooted in Scripture and centered on transformed lives. Pulse of Life has adopts and agrees with the Foursquare Church Statement of Beliefs.

Angela has loved Jesus her whole life and that love fuels everything she does. As lead pastor of Pulse of Life Church, she carries a powerful testimony of how God saves, heals, redeems, and restores.
An ordained Foursquare pastor, Angela is a graduate of Bethel Seminary and holds a doctorate in Education from the University of South Dakota. She previously served as a staff pastor at Church at the Gate, now Crosswind Church, and is a trained facilitator for The Ultimate Journey through Christ-Life Ministries. Angela is married to Pastor Glenn Pulse, and together they share the joy of 5 children and 4 grandchildren.

Pastor Glenn Pulse serves as Assisting Pastor at Pulse of Life Church, where he oversees church operations. Ordained through Church at the Gate, he is currently pursuing his Foursquare licensure with a heart for chaplaincy.
Glenn serves faithfully on the church security, altar prayer, and inner healing teams, and is a trained facilitator of The Ultimate Journey. Known for his warm and welcoming spirit, he is adored by everyone - especially the children.

Pastor Stew Powers serves as our NextGen Pastor at Pulse of Life Church. Stew is originally from the Pacific Northwest and the West Coast at large - salmon is basically a food group, and "dude" is pretty much a permanent part of his vocabulary. He attended university in Las Vegas, and it was there in his late twenties that he became born again and he never looked back. He jumped into ministry almost immediately, starting as a junior high small group leader before moving into young adults, then Youth Pastor, and beyond. Stew went on to serve as a missionary in Sweden for nearly a decade, investing his life in the next generation overseas before bringing that same passion home. Equal parts nerd and sports fan, Stew loves a good deep dive as much as he loves game day. And in case you're wondering, yes, the grocery store really is one of his favorite places.

What would it look like if, as leaders, we focused less on the things that make our churches entertaining and more on making disciples?

What is the story of The Foursquare Church? It's really part of the story that God's been telling since the beginning of time.
